Ottenhoff Consulting operates out of a state-of-the-art data center at LAX in Los Angeles, CA. We offer our Web hosting in an environment with a dedicated Gigabit connection. We operate on our own enterprise-level equipment utilizing Sun Microsystems hardware and software as well as CentOS Linux software.
Physical Data Center Details
- SAS 70 Type II Facilities.
- HIPAA and SARBANES-OXLEY compliance.
- Network operations in a tier 1 data center located in Los Angeles, CA.
- Access is monitored and controlled around-the-clock by video surveillance and security personnel. Visitors must be signed in and escorted by authorized personnel.
- Power enters the Data Center facility from two substations, one of which is on a preferred service grid.
- Air conditioning is provided by a fully redundant N+1 chilled water based closed-loop cooling system and electric coil heating system feeding multiple air-handling units.
- State-of-the-art multi-zoned, dry pipe, pre-action fire suppression system.

- Sun Microsystems hardware running Sun Solaris 10 OE.
- Cisco networking equipment.
- Enterprise-class Juniper firewalls.
- We monitor all services and equipment 24/7 and use two independent external service monitoring companies from 4 global locations (San Francisco, Chicago, New York & London).
Network Capacity Details
- We operate our network on a 1,000 Mbps (1 GBps) backbone.
- Redundant, multi-homed bandwidth dynamically routed minmizing the use of congested public exchanges and private peering points.
